This workshop introduces the "Center Equity" tools of the High Line Network's Community First Toolkit, which help organizations develop a shared understanding of equity and how to actively advance it in their work. Participants will explore strategies to prioritize equitable objectives, ensuring that their projects reflect the diverse needs and aspirations of the communities they serve. By embracing these tools, organizations can create spaces that not only meet immediate community needs but also foster long-term social cohesion and fairness for all.
Attendees will learn about the tools available in the Center Equity toolkit section, and complete an activity on Crafting a Theory of Action.

The "Prepare Internally" tools of the High Line Network's Community First Toolkit guide organizations in identifying key resources, stakeholders, and decision-making processes, while exploring opportunities for power sharing. This workshop will help participants build a solid foundation for their projects by fostering internal clarity and collaboration. By preparing internally, organizations can ensure that their initiatives are more inclusive, equitable, and better positioned to meet community needs and achieve long-lasting impact.
