T. Christopher Peoples is an Urban Economic Development Champion building partnerships, recommending policies and implementing equitable economic development solutions at Great Rivers Greenway (GRG).

T. Christopher Peoples is an Urban Economic Development Champion building partnerships, recommending policies and implementing equitable economic development solutions at Great Rivers Greenway (GRG). In his role as GRG’s first-ever Equity and Economic Impact Director, he uses his varied expertise and knowledge to work with other staff members, stakeholders, partners and community members to start developing equitable economic development strategies and tactics intended to address housing, community asset building and population retention and growth, all while ensuring community participation and empowerment throughout the entire process.

Chris brings over 20 years’ of experience as an entrepreneur, engineer and land surveyor working with private developers, hospitals, schools, municipalities, state and federal agencies. Before Great Rivers Greenway, he was the majority owner and was CEO and President at Pitzman’s Company of Surveyors and Engineers. He has been recognized as St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 under 40, Young Alumni of the Year by UM-St. Louis and Joint Engineering Program Alumni of the Year by Washington University.
